In Vancouver spring comes months before it does in Calgary which gets me thinking about gardening way too early. I visited the community garden close to my place to get some inspiration for the douglasdale/glen community garden that I’ve been working on and probably took 200 pictures more than I needed.
Even though things haven’t started growing quite yet I still find something so peaceful about these living spaces. I could have spent all day here but my memory card ran out of space.

So simple yet I spent the most time looking at this photograph. There’s just something about it that draws me in.
I don't know why but this picture unsettles me. Is this part of the Canada Line in Vancouver, post Olympics?
ReplyDeleteThe more I see this picture the more I love it!
ReplyDeleteThis picture can be unsettling in some ways. I believe that it used to be the CPR but they relocated it when the city started to grow (that could very much so be false. They are train tracks that haven't been used in years and a community garden was established around them to utilize the space.
ReplyDeleteThe Canada line has heavy traffic at all hours of the day, it's something that Vancouver really needed. It's a great way of getting around here.
Justin, I think it's growing on me too. I think I could take this shot in a few different ways to get an even better picture. Maybe we'll test it out when you're here next?
