Another walk and another moment without a tripod, glad there were rocks around to take on that role. This was a boat that we found on Kits beach by the offleash dog park.

If I could sum up Vancouver in a picture this would be it.
This is the definition of Vancouver

Took a walk around Kits with Justin and stumbled upon Granville island. As much as I claim to be tough when it comes to the cold, the wind got to me. Hot chocolate was a must today.

I like the juxtaposition between the green grass and the dead grass (or maybe uncut in this case). It’s interesting..

I’ve been trying for months to get a shot like this. Kara goes on a dog walk and snaps a photo like this. It’s magnificent. It’s almost like it’s a photo from an old fairy tale or something.

My first night shot taken just in time to meet the picture of the day. I must admit walking around late at night taking pictures isn’t the smartest idea but I had a body guard and a tripod that was willing to be sacrificed if anything happened. Thirty second shutter speed can fit in a lot of dancing while waiting (just in case you decide to go try it out).

This picture is a bit eerie. I suppose that’s what you get January in Vancouver.

This training program is what I’m working on this year. I’m hoping I have the motivation to stick to it because I really want to beat my time from my last triathlon, shouldn’t be too hard if I stick to it.

Today was the first time I’ve ever taken a photo in the rain with my new camera. I brought the camera to school because I had a quick break but couldn’t fit the tripod in my bag. First lesson I learnt today – you need a tripod to take a picture in low light (a fence doesn’t always cut it). I apologize for not providing something great to look at but I’m learning every single day.

I promised myself this year that I would got to Van Dusen Garden in Vancouver whenever there is sun because it doesn’t come out that often. I spent a few hours roaming around and taking some snaps. Here is the lonely crow.

Not often that we get a day with blue skies.
