So my friend Kaitlyn and I talked on the phone for 93 minutes one night discussing the future and all of the possibilities that it holds – now you know why it was 93 minutes. The new show 'The Buried Life' came out on MTV and I thought the concept was amazing (who doesn't!). Their goal: complete a list of '100 things to do before you die' and to help and encourage others to go after their own lists. So, that's exactly what we have set out to do. The phone call consisted of a small brainstorming session of some of the things that we would like to do before we die. The two of us have been in University for a combined total of 11 years (and counting..) and have started to get a little antsy. So, we thought that this would be the perfect segway to life after our degree and gain some life experience in the process!
We had already been discussing a lot of different ideas as to what kind of things we would like to accomplish before 25 – before 30 – before we die and so on (you get the idea). All of these ideas just start to formulate in our heads but we hadn't complied any of them until now. Once they are on paper – it's official, there's no turning back – they are definitely going to push my limits but that's what it's all about, right? There may be some crazy ones but with a little imagination I know that we can accomplish them.
In a week and a half Kaitlyn is flying into Vancouver for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics (ya, it's here and I'm super stoked about it!) where we will continually add to our bucket list until we are satisfied with what will be in store for us. This may be premature thinking but I'm pretty hopeful that the Olympics will be an opportunity for us to start working on our list together!
